신은 예외 없이 모든 사람들에게 한 가지 재주는 준다.

(오, 감사합니다. 신이시여!)

이를테면, 음악가에게는 음악적 영감을,

정치가에게는 늘 말로 때우는 재주를,

거지에게는 빌어먹는 기술... 등을.

 

그리고 재주가 넘쳐 여러 가지에 손대는 이에게는

패배의 쓴맛을 경험하는 운명도 덤으로 준다.

그걸 일찍 깨달을수록 신의 은총도 또렷하게 더해진다. [Feb. 2015] ​

Without exception, every man is gifted by God with a talent.

For example, musical inspiration for musician,

a knack of always making do with verbal promise for politician,

and a skill in begging his bread for beggar... etc.

 

For a too much gifted man involved in too many things,

a destiny to experience the bitterness of defeats is given

along with the talents.
