아파 보지 않으면 아픈 곳을 알 수가 없다

If you don't feel a pain, you don't have a chance to know the sore spot

 

아파해 봐야 비로소 아픈 곳을 알 수가 있다. 아파 보지 않으면 어디서 그 통증이 오는지를 또렷하게 알지 못한다. 그리고 그것들의 소중함도. 일상적인 요통, 치통 등에서부터 사랑하는 것/사람의 부재까지도. -溫草

 

You don't have a chance to know the sore spot until you feel a pain. Without pain, you don't have clear-cut idea where it comes from. And of its preciousness, either. Included in this are such usual pain as back pain, tooth pain... and the absence of the beloved thing(s)/person(s). [Feb. 2016]
